Enjoyed very much learning facts about Jack London's life. Read his books ages ago and had no idea they made him a wealthy man, but glad they did because he deserved both accolades and money. Your comment that you find it contradictory that he was so pro-socialism and yet made money in a capitalistic sort of way surprised me because I do not see a contradiction there. When I think of Denmark, for example, it is constituted as a country resting on the principles of democratic socialism (free higher education, subsidized day care, free health care etc)and has at the same time many millionaires because of free enterprise. One of their rich people was recently talking about it. The socialism of Russia or old Poland, e.g. was a different story. Did not know Jack London was a racist, too. A really interesting and multi-faceted character like most of us, I guess. Good show, again. Jana Begovich
